Today we are the most recognized outfitter on Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru, beloved by our clients and respected by our peers. If you are not interested in climbing mountains or trekking but would rather enjoy a luxury Kiliwarrior safari, please visit our safari home: www.kiliwarriors.com

We are the Kiliwarriors, Proudly Maasai, distinctly Tanzanian!

See the Kiliwarriors at the top of their game in an award-winning film about Kilimanjaro!

Climb Kilimanjaro and trek the Ngorongoro Highlands with Kiliwarrior Expeditions, the specialist & very exclusive Tanzania-based company (worldwide sales office is in the USA) known for its uncompromising focus on Care, Service and Excellence - resulting in an incredible 100% summit success record in 2004 and very near perfect in 2005 -2009!  Our treks are exclusively designed for couples, single climbers, families, and small groups of friends.

The Kiliwarriors is a Maasai-owned trekking outfit, specializing in Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru and various trekking routes in Northern Tanzania.

Recent Kiliwarrior clients include celebrities and their families from the world of entertainment, business, sports and politics.

Supermodel Angie Everhart was filmed while climbing Kilimanjaro with us! Her 9-day trek is currently a feature special on HDNet (USA) - click for larger picture.

Our clients expect the best. We deliver the best by fusing modern equipment, experienced guide teams, and spectacular mountain routes:

Lemosho-Western Breach Shown in the IMAX movie "Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa" where we camp in private near the crater rim the night before the summit. It is the "ultimate" route to the summit - non-technical, very few people, breathtaking views and near 100% summit success rates but more risky due to potential rock falls and icy conditions. It is our signature route - the Kiliwarriors is synonymous with the Western Breach!  ANYONE can do it!  Please consider it.
Lemosho-Barafu-Crater An exciting route used when the Western Breach approach is unavailable. It is generally safer than the Breach route but longer, yet it still allows for a daytime ascent to the summit, a night at the Crater Camp next to the melting snows of Kilimanjaro and the best views on the mountain!
Machame The well-known whiskey route - the second most popular route on Kilimanjaro
Rongai Remote and dry even in the rainy season
Marangu The Coca Cola route for those who want a shorter climb with comfortable huts instead of tents
Mt Meru Beautiful and wild! The perfect introduction to Kilimanjaro and for those who want to try an exciting trek at a reasonable yet challenging altitude.
Ngorongoro Highlands Trek We are a Maasai company. We invite you to trek with us in the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands! Climb Lemagrut, trek Olmoti and Empakaai, visit our Maasai friends and families!

Your hosts in Tanzania is Wilbert Mollel - affectionately known on Kilimanjaro as the "Kiliwarrior" thanks to his Maasai heritage, and our senior mountain guides Faraja Mwaijande, Gideon Fanuel and Hosea Samwel are the most recognized Kilimanjaro guides in the world, thanks to their starring roles in a a very popular film about climbing Kilimanjaro and WINNER OF 4 TELLY AWARDS! (to buy the DVD, visit  Amazon.com)

Our 4-season tents (Mountain HardWear Trango) are the best and largest on Kilimanjaro. We provide hot showers, portable toilets, a choice of meals, bottled water when needed and portable mattresses. Our guides are experienced and certified in the 80-hour Wilderness First Responder course to deal with altitude emergencies. We use modern safety equipment such as emergency oxygen, pulse-oximeters and portable altitude chambers. Kilimanjaro is a dangerous mountain and we are serious about your safety. We are the first company with AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators are devices that look at a person's heart rhythm (through special pads placed on the torso) and can recognize ventricular fibrillation (VF), also known as "sudden cardiac arrest" or SCA. If SCA is present, an AED will advise, and will talk the responder through some very simple steps to defibrillate. AEDs are designed to be used by lay rescuers or "first responders"). All our clients are enrolled in the Flying Doctors program - for evacuation by air to the best hospitals.

Click on the images to meet Carol & Eben who handle all the bookings!

We have very strict porter policies. Kiliwarrior porters receive the highest wages on Kilimanjaro (see policies) and we are the only company to publish our wages for the world to see!  The Kiliwarriors is also the clear leader in eco-friendly climbs. We're the only company to treat human waste and we have introduced the Clean-Mountain-Can technology (used at Denali NP) as a first step to carry out ALL garbage (including human waste). This is a HUGE step forward on Kilimanjaro and we are proud to lead the way for others to follow.

We encourage our clients to immerge themselves in the diversities of our local cultures. On the mountain, you will learn about the Maasai, the Meru and Chagga. This aspect truly sets us apart from anyone else on Kilimanjaro. You are not a tourist, you are part of our small family and you will never forget the evenings spent with our mountain team! Our clients all agree on this - just look at the pictures and read our testimonials!

After climbing Kilimanjaro, you can relax on the beaches of Zanzibar or enjoy a spectacular safari in one of many game parks in Tanzania, Kenya or elsewhere in East Africa. Kiliwarrior Expeditions is the only company to specialize in the Great Wildebeest Migration - we follow the migration year-round. Visit our Great Wildebeest Migration website!
